Aim
To enhance skills in health literacy communication, ensuring that health information is communicated effectively so that people can use this information to make informed decisions about their health.

Intended learning outcomes
Having completed this workshop you should be able to:

• Describe the impact of health literacy on people’s motivation and lifestyle
• Communicate more effectively by understanding the context of people’s lives and how to make health information relevant
• Better support people to understand their health issues and the steps they need to take to improve their health
• Apply the principles of health literacy to disease prevention and health promotion.
